Alan Hughes was a force for the Seneca College Men's Soccer program in the two seasons he participated in. Hughes found success right off the bat, capturing OCAA gold in his first season for the Braves.

The following season, Hughes found successes again, earning his second OCAA title and was named an OCAA League All-Star. Nationally, he was named a CCAA Champion Tournament All-Star after his team claimed the CCAA National Championship silver medal.

Seneca College honoured him as their team's MVP and inducted him into Seneca's Hall of Fame. He was also named a member of the OCAA Men's Soccer All-Millennium Team.
