Avery Brevett enjoyed an incredible career that saw her win a gold medal in each of her four seasons of OCAA women’s volleyball with the Seneca Sting. Brevett was a league all-star each year and was an All-Canadian in 1991-92 and 1992-93. In 1992-93 and 1993-94 she was selected MVP of the Provincial Championships, helping lead her team to a gold medal on both ocassions. On the national scene, Brevett was an all-star at two CCAA National Championships (1994 and 1995), as she and her team won a bronze medal in each of those years.
At Seneca, Brevett was their Female Athlete of the Year in 1992-93 and 1994-95, and had her sweater retired after her collegiate career ended after the ’94-’95 season. She was also named to the OCAA Women’s Volleyball All-Millennium team in 2000, and currently serves as an assistant coach for Seneca.
