Dave Gotts of Lambton College was a dedicated and active volunteer for the OCAA. During his time in athletics, Gotts sat two terms on the OCAA Executive Committee, chaired two committees, was a Sport Convenor and sat on numerous other committees. In 1987-88 and 1988-89 he was the OCAA 2nd Vice President, and in 1989-90 and 1990-91 he served as 5th Vice President. He chaired the Awards Committee in 1986-87, the Strategic Planning Committee in 1993-94, and sat on the Sub-Committee on Intramural Programming, Membership Committee, Constitution Committee, Policies and Procedures Committee and the Rules and Regulations Committee.

Gotts was also the Senior Convenor for touch football in 1993-94 and again in 1994-95. Under his leadership, Lambton College hosted a great many OCAA Regional and Provincial Championships, including the last OCAA Table Tennis Championship in 1983. In 2001 Dave Gotts was honoured by the OCAA with the presentation of a Shield Award.
