Greg Shirley enjoyed a three-year collegiate career at Algonquin College and was named an OCAA all-star during each season. He and his teammates medalled in each of his three seasons, winning two-silver’s and one bronze at three consecutive Provincial Championships. Greg’s solid work ethic during practice and games made him the floor leader and earned him the position of team captain during his last two years. At the 1994-95 Provincial Championship, Shirley’s outstanding play earned him a spot on the Championship all-star team.

For his academic and athletic achievements, the college has retired his #22 jersey.
