Howie Parker was the representative for Northern College in 1967, when they were one of the original seven colleges which founded the OCAA. During the OCAA’s inaugural season of 1967-68, he served as the Senior Convenor for men’s hockey, a position he held again in 1968-69. Ten years later, Parker became a member of the OCAA Executive Committee, holding the President position in 1977-78 and 1978-79, and the Past President position in 1979-80 and 1980-81. In 1988 Howie Parker was honoured by the OCAA with the presentation of a Shield Award.
