Lori deBakker (nee Hoorelbeck) played for St.Clair’s women’s soccer team for two seasons. She was named Team MVP for the 1987-88 season and was the team's captain in both years of play. She led her teams to the OCAA Women’s Soccer Championships and clinched a silver medal in the 1987-88 season and a gold medal the following year. deBakker also received the Coaches Award for the 1988-89 season.
Up until a few years ago, deBakker played on the Wallaceburg Sting senior women’s team, but still plays recreational soccer in Wallaceburg during the summer and indoor soccer in Chatham in the winter months.
deBakker, a mother of four, graduated from St. Clair in the
Animal Health Technician program.
Lori was named a member of the OCAA women's soccer
All-Millennium team.
