Neil MacEwan was the coach of the Sault College curling team beginning in 1973 and held the post until 1993, covering a span of twenty years.
MacEwan coached all three teams (men's, women's and mixed), leading his women's team to an OCAA Championship in 1972-73 and three mixed teams to victory in 1975-76 and then back-to-back in 1977-78 and 1978-79. His fondest championship was capturing the men's provincial championship in 1991-92, as he had always had the goal of capturing a men's championship.
For a brief time there were no varsity sports at Sault College, so under MacEwan's direction, his teams fundraised to keep the curling program competing at the OCAA level.
