D’Oria was born on May 17, 1977 in London, Ontario. He attended John Paul II for his High School career, where he earned a WOSAA gold medal and an OFSSA silver medal in 1995, which was his final year at the school. Following his time at JP II, he then moved just down the road to attend post secondary here at Fanshawe College.
A graduate of the Electrical Apprentice program in 2003, D’Oria took home more than just hands on experience in the classroom; he was able to showcase his athletic abilities on the soccer field as well. He was a very integral part of the Fanshawe Falcons Men’s Soccer team from ’96-’98.
D’Oria returned to Fanshawe for the 2001-2002 season where he was named an OCAA West League All Star because of his accomplishments playing on the Fanshawe Falcons Men’s Soccer Team. D’Oria received a gold and bronze OCAA medals and has also been named a CCAA Tournament All-star. When they went on to nationals, Nick helped the team to win a CCAA silver medal.
Nick was named as a member of the OCAA Men's Soccer All-Millennium Team.
