Sharon Ikola was solid supporter of OCAA curling and the varsity curling program at Centennial College. She served as the Senior Convenor for curling during the 1979-80 and 1980-81 seasons. During the 1980-81 season the Centennial Colts women’s curling team won gold at the OCAA championships. In 1985 Iokola was presented with an OCAA Service Award for her efforts and dedication to the OCAA curling program.
