Sheky Yew Woon, a member of the George Brown College family, was instrumental in the development of rules, regulations, policies and procedures for both Outdoor and Indoor Soccer from the mid-eighties until his retirement in 2001.
He acted as Convenor and Head Coach for Geroge Brown in Table Tennis from the 1979 to 1983 seasons and held several other convenorships which included being the OCAA Men's Soccer South Region Convenor 1995-96, OCAA Men's Soccer Senior Convenor 89-90 to 94-95, OCAA Men's Indoor Soccer Convenor 89-90 to 91-92, OCAA Table Tennis South Region Convenor 79-80 and 80-81, OCAA Table Tennis Senior Convenor 81-82 and 82-83. Sheky also contributed to the OCAA as a CIRA Executive Committee member 1983-1986.
His knowledge and passion for soccer is the driving force behind the success of soccer in the OCAA today. His work can also be contributed to the development of soccer not only on the varsity level but also at the intramural and extramural level as well.
