Tom McClelland of Northern College was a staple in OCAA men’s hockey for twenty-two years. Starting in the 1972-73 season, McClelland was either the Senior Convenor, Consultant, or Tier I Convenor up to including the 1993-94 season. He was well known throughout the OCAA for his passion and dedication to the men’s hockey program. In 1983 Tom McClelland became the first person to be honoured by the OCAA with the presentation of a Shield Award.
