OCAA WEEKLY AWARDS

TORONTO - The following have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Feb. 12.

OCAA weekly awards are presented by belairdirect car insurance.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alex Hagoriles, Centennial
Fourth-year shooting guard Alex Hagoriles (Ajax) averaged 19 points in two road victories for Centennial. Hagoriles scored a team-high 18 points, adding six steals in Centennial's 74-64 victory at Seneca on Feb. 7. He followed this effort with a team-high 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including four three-pointers, in a 93-84 win at Durham on Feb. 10. Centennial (12-5) currently sits in third place in the East Division.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mary Ingribelli, Niagara
Third-year player Mary Ingribelli (St. Catharines) led Niagara in scoring during a pair of critical home games. On Feb. 11, Ingribelli posted her first double-double of the season finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds in an 81-55 win over Lambton. She followed this with arguably her best game of the season, posting a team-high 19 points, while also adding seven rebounds in a a 63-56 win over St. Clair on Feb. 12.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Clayton Blanchette, Humber
Second-year outside hitter Clayton Blanchette (St. Catharines) contributed a match-high 27 points on 23 kills, two stuff blocks and two service aces in a five-set win at Conestoga on Feb. 10. He has posted the second-best totals for Humber in a single-season with 312 kills and 369 points to date with one regular season match remaining. Blanchette leads all OCAA players averaging 5.9 points per set.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kendra Muffo, Cambrian
First-year setter Kendra Muffo (Sudbury) quarterbacked Cambrian to the OCAA post-season with a pair of strong performances. Muffo contributed 33 assists, with two teammates earning 10 kills each, in Cambrian's four-set win at St. Clair on Feb. 11. The following day, Muffo was credited with 40 assists with a pair of teammates combining for 26 kills in a four-set win at Fanshawe. At 9-9, Cambrian has earned a crossover berth.  

MEN'S TEAM OF THE WEEK
Fanshawe, Men's Basketball
Fanshawe ended a four-game losing streak with a pair of home victories that secured a post-season berth for the Falcons. Fanshawe defeated Lambton 103-72 on Feb. 8, and Redeemer 97-66 on Feb. 11. Five Falcons hit double-digits in scoring in both games. At 7-7, Fanshawe is still in the mix for a home playoff game, an improved regular season following a 4-14 record in 2015-16.

WOMEN'S TEAM OF THE WEEK
Redeemer Women's Basketball
The Redeemer Royals edged Fanshawe 60-59 on the road on Feb. 11, improving to 10-7 and assuring themselves a better than .500 record at season's end. OCAA all-time leading scorer Jesseca Brown (Grand Manan, N.B.) scored 28 points in the win. Redeemer has won four straight, having clinched a post-season berth for just the second time in school history.
