TORONTO - The latest edition of sweat Magazine, the official magazine of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) is now available on campuses across the province.
Sweat Magazine is an award-winning magazine, produced biannually by the senior journalism class at Humber College since 2001. Writers go beyond the scores and standings to explore what's inside the minds of student-athletes and their supporters, the latest sport-related technology and trends, as well as fitness and health issues that individuals face daily.
This past semester, Humber students teamed up with their counterparts at Algonquin College to produce the Fall 2018 issue. Some of the topics and features examined in this edition include:
- Offside: A look at Sault hockey playing across the border
- Athlete by nature, cheerleader by choice
- Rugby: don't get mauled
- Jim Nemish: 30 years, 500 wins
- St. Clair's dynasty on the diamond
- Fire and brimstone: Lambton's hot streak
- From far and wide: the traveling athlete
- Smack talk smack down
- A tale of two personalities
- Knowing when to call it quits
- A centre for wellness
There are also the familiar features of Off the Bench, Coach's Corner, Photo Contest, President's Note and Sweat It Out.
