OSHAWA, Ont. – It was a great start to the 2012 portion of the season for the Durham College men's volleyball team as they defeated the Boreal Viperes 3-0.
Set scores at the CRWC were 25-13, 25-21 and 25-18.
Dave McMann was Durham's leading scorer with 10 kills and seven blocks. The Elmvale, Ont. native leads the OCAA in blocks with 45 this season. With nine games remaining, McMann is on pace to beat the OCAA single season record of 63.
Jordan McFarlane had six digs in the win for Durham.
The Lords are 8-3 this season and in third place in the OCAA east region. The team is 5-1 on home court.
Cambrian will match-up against the Lords on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Golden Shield are 3-8 in conference play.
