2010 Olympic Torch Run

Georgian Grizzly players Erinn Baptiste and Summer Bly carried the Olympic torch as it crosses Canada. Baptiste carried the torch through for her First Nation Community in the Ottawa Valley. She has also been selected as one of the aboriginal dancers who will perform during the opening ceremonies.Summer Bly, a member of the Grizzly women’s basketball team carried the torch through her hometown of Barrie.

The Seeding Is Complete! The Match Ups Are Set! Play To Begin Thursday!

February 21, 2006 - The seeding and the first round match ups have been determined, and play is set to commence on Thursday, February 23/06 at the Outtahand 2006 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Men’s & Women’s Volleyball Championships. This province wide event will take place on February 23 – 25/06 at the Humber Athletic Centre in Etobicoke, Ontario.

For the first time in history all eight schools competing at the Volleyball Championship Tournament will be sending both their men’s and women’s teams. This equates to a huge surge of support for all teams when they hit the floor.

The top seeded team in the Women’s draw are the Humber “Hawks” from Etobicoke, and the number 1 team in the Men’s division are the Mohawk “Mountaineers” from Hamilton.

The first round of games are as follows:
