Petin calmly kicked three converts for Algonquin in what proved to be the difference in a 26-25 win over reigning OCAA champion Durham on Sept. 22. Trailing 25-14 with eight minutes remaining, Algonquin scored a pair of unanswered tries, with Petin converting one to give the Thunder the one-point advantage they needed to win the match. Algonquin, last season's OCAA bronze medalist, ended Durham's eight-game winning streak dating back to last September. At 2-0, Algonquin has positioned itself atop the East Division with Durham (1-1) and St. Lawrence (1-1) in close pursuit.
