TORONTO - The following have been named Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) rugby student-athletes of the week for the period ending Sunday, Oct. 2.
TORONTO - The following have been named Ontario Colleges
Athletic Association (OCAA) rugby student-athletes of the week for
the period ending Sunday, Oct. 2.
MALE: Matt Raguseo, Seneca
Matt Raguseo had a 31-point effort in Seneca's
53-0 win over Conestoga on Friday. Raguseo contributed three tries,
five converts and two penalty kicks in the victory. The 2010 OCAA
all-star was last season's scoring champion in the OCAA East
region. Seneca is one of three teams to start the season 2-0-0, as
it looks to improve on its OCAA bronze medal from last year.
FEMALE: Brooklyn Craig, Humber
Brooklyn Craig scored 11 points last Friday in
Humber's 49-0 win over Seneca. The game was a rematch of last
year's OCAA final that was won by Humber 15-7. Craig scored one try
and added three converts. She has scored 21 points in two games,
scoring three tries in total. Humber has jumped out to a 2-0-0
start in the OCAA West region.
