Association (CCAA) this week. Humber (13-1) has won 10 straight in
regular season play, having dropped just one set in nine
matches.
66 - Number of stuff blocks Durham fifth-year
middle David McMann (Elmvale, Ont.) has so far
during the OCAA men's volleyball regular season. He is three shy of
tying the all-time single season record of 69, set by Seneca's
Kanitha Boranprasit and Humber's Carter
Walls during the 2000-01 season, and tied by St. Clair's
Corey Cole in 2009-10.
5 - Number of points Durham fifth-year guard
Erin Emery (White Rock, B.C.) is from 1,000 in her
OCAA women's basketball career. Emery would become just the third

Natasha Thombs (1,178) of Seneca and
Melinda Coker (1,115) of Seneca and Mohawk.
37-35 - Set score in Loyalist's 3-1 (25-23,
35-37, 25-22, 27-25) win over La Cite on Jan. 29. Not surprisingly,
the marathon match helped Keith Marier (Ottawa)
build on his OCAA regular season record kill and point totals with
25 and 27, respectively. The La Cite second-year power now has 277
kills and 305 points in 2011-12.
35 - Number of points scored by Mohawk fifth-year
guard Aminu Bello (Hamilton) in a 85-73 win over

averaging 23.5 points per game. Mohawk (9-4) has won six of seven
games, and are currently in third place in the OCAA West region
standings.

middle Mariah Johnson (Sarnia, Ont.) in a 3-1
(22-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-20) win over Durham on Feb. 1. She also
added nine kills for a game-high 17 points. Seneca (9-7) has won
four straight, improving its chances at a post-season berth in the
OCAA East region.
25 - Number of offensive points earned by
Fanshawe first-year right side Harrison Connell
(London, Ont.) in a 3-2 (25-17, 19-25, 28-26, 22-25, 15-12) win
over Sheridan on Feb. 1. The 20 kills and 25 points were his best
single game totals of Connell's OCAA brief career. Fanshawe
improved to 10-5 with the win.
17 - Number of rebounds by Fleming-Peterborough
second-year centre Alex Holland (Peterborough,
Ont.), including 11 on the defensive end of the court, in a 79-72
win over Loyalist on Jan. 31. Holland is the leading rebounder for
the Knights averaging 8.7 per game. The win ended a six game losing
