OCAA NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
TORONTO - In accordance to its by-laws, the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) elected a new executive committee at the OCAA annual general meeting which took place last week at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.

Athletic Association (OCAA) elected a new executive committee at
the OCAA annual general meeting which took place last week at the
Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.
President
Fred Batley, Fleming College (Peterborough)
Fred Batley served as past president in 2010-11, filling the
position for the retired Ron Fearon (Confederation College). Batley
becomes the first two-term president in OCAA history, also serving
in the role from 1993-94 to 1994-95.
Before that Batley served as a vice president for six straight
years, beginning in 1987-88.
Past President
Jay Shewfelt, St. Clair College
Former OCAA president Jay Shewfelt moves into the role of past
president. Shewfelt served as OCAA president for two years
beginning in 2009-10 following a two-year stint as vice president
programs.
1st Vice President
Michele McConney, Georgian College
Michele McConney remains 1st vice president of OCAA after returning
to the role in 2009-10. McConney was also 1st vice president for
two years beginning in 1999-2000.
Vice President Programs
Jim Bialek, Humber College
Jim Bialek changes hats on the OCAA executive, moving into the role
of vice president programs after a two-year term as vice president
marketing and sport development.
Vice President Marketing and Sport Development
Scott Dennis, Durham College
Scott Dennis is a new member of the OCAA executive committee.
Dennis most recently served the marketing role on the Ontario
Colleges Committee on Campus Recreation (OCCCR) and was a member of
the OCAA marketing and sport development committee.
Vice President Campus Recreation
Ed Mark, George Brown College
Ed Mark returns for his third consecutive term as vice president
campus recreation. Mark first took on the role in 2007-08.
Vice President Finance
Marlene Ford, Conestoga College
Marlene Ford begins her second consecutive term as vice president
finance. Ford has also served as senior convenor in men’s and
women’s indoor soccer and women’s soccer.
Executive Director
Blair Webster
Blair Webster has been the executive director of the OCAA since
2004.
