Sunday, Oct. 16.
Seneca Men's Rugby
In a battle of undefeated men's rugby teams on Oct. 13, Seneca
outlasted Humber 29-15 to clinch first place in OCAA Division I.
Seneca (4-0-0) earns a bye and home field advantage throughout the
OCAA post-season. Seneca has not won an OCAA men's rugby
championship since 2005-06. Jesse Lofthouse scored
two tries to lead the Sting.
Conestoga Women's Soccer
The Conestoga Condors women's soccer club kept themselves in the
thick of the playoff race in the OCAA West region with two
victories. Conestoga defeated Niagara at home 6-0 on Oct. 12 before
escaping St. Clair with a 2-0 win on Oct. 14. Samantha
Fowles scored four goals in both matches, including a hat
trick against Niagara. Conestoga (4-3-0) is now above .500 having
won three straight.
