MARKETPLACE AUCTION
A silent auction was held during the OCAA marketplace tradeshow,
where visitors bid on apparel donated by the 30 OCAA member
schools.
This, along with a putting challenge, raised almost $1,000 for the
Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). CHEO was selected as
this year's charity of choice by OCAA AGM host Algonquin.
PAPERLESS INITIATIVE
The OCAA strived to reduce paper use at this year's AGM, sending
all required documents to its members electronically.
Based on previous numbers at AGMs, it is estimated that the
association saved approximately 30,000 standard copy pages from
being printed during the week.
2013 OCAA AGM HOST
Fanshawe College has been chosen as the OCAA AGM host for 2013.
Along with the AGM and marketplace, the 2013 OCAA Hall of Fame
ceremony will also take place in London, Ont.
The association would like to thank Ron Port and his staff at
Algonquin College for their hospitality and hard work during the
past five days.
