OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's soccer team played their home game against La Cite at Civic field on Saturday but they came out with the same result as they were defeated by a score of 3-1.
Durham is winless on the year sitting tied last place in the East Region with a 0-5-1 record. On the other end of the spectrum, La Cite is undefeated at 4-0-0 and is in the top five rankings of the OCAA.
La Cite striker Jose Bruno Mota did all of the damage on the scoreboard for the Coyotes as he recorded a hat-trick. Mota has nine goals this season and is leading the OCAA scoring race.
Phil McKenzie scored Durham's lone goal in the 89th minute of the game.
The Lords will take on the George Brown Huskies (0-5-1) on Wednesday, October 19 in Toronto for their regular season finale. Durham College has never had a winless season in the history of the men's soccer program.
