PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – Fleming head coach Tony Bombino will have bragging rights at Thanksgiving dinner this year as the Knights defeated Durham College 2-0 in OCAA men's soccer action on Tuesday night.
This marked the first time in 13 years that Fleming has beat Durham during the regular season.
Fleming entered the game 1-0, after beating George Brown 4-2 in their season opener. The Lords would hold the Knights offence off the scoresheet in the opening half, relying on goalkeeper Derek Money and strong defence.
Despite taking control of the midfield during the second half, Fleming would capitalize on two of their shots to pick up the 2-0 win and three points.
Durham will look to rebound this weekend as they will host St. Lawrence (Friday) and Algonquin (Saturday) at Vaso's Field.
