BRAMWELL SETS ALL-TIME OCAA SINGLE GAME KILLS RECORD

ETOBICOKE, Ont. - Terrel Bramwell of the Humber Hawks men's volleyball team recorded an all-time high 36 kills in a game, surpassing the existing record of 33, and did so in just four sets.

His total of 38 points in the match was just two points shy of his own OCAA record of 40 points in a game.

His efforts helped Humber defeat Redeemer 3-1 (26-24, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21) in a match up of last year's OCAA gold medal game.

Terrel was dominant, as he not only recorded the high number of kills, he did so with a high percentage. He was blocked on a couple of occasions, but his kill percentage was in the mid 80s.

The previous record of 33 was shared by Cambrian's Ben Cambridge and Seneca's Jason Hernandez.

Bramwell has now upped his league leading kills to 109, and his point per set average to 7.94. The best scoring season of all time belongs to Loyalist's Todd Boys, who put up an average of 7.3 PPS during the 1996-97 season.

Not only is he on track to break the all-time OCAA season points per set record, he also may break the all-time points and kills in a season mark.
