SHERIDAN 3, NIAGARA 0 (FINAL)
The Niagara College Knights men's volleyball team were shutout for their third straight match when they were blanked 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, and 25-19) by the Sheridan College Bruins on Wednesday night. The Knights, who have yet to win a set this season, fall to 0-3, while the Bruins improved to a record of 3-2 in the OCAA West region.
First-year outside hitter Josh Butler (London, Ont.) had a game-high 16 points for Sheridan with 11 kills, three serving aces, and two blocks.
Meanwhile, first-year players Yosef Zaid (Windsor, Ont.), Ryan Sellan (Windsor, Ont.), Zach Weening (Bradford, Ont.), and Cody McLellan (Chatham, Ont.) each had nine points for the Knights.
The Knights will look for their first win of the season when they begin a three-game road trip on Tuesday, November 22 in Kitchener against the Conestoga College Condors (1-3). Game time is 8 p.m. On November 25 and 26, the Knights will head up to North Bay to take on the Canadore College Panthers (2-4) at 8 p.m. on Friday, and then a 2 p.m. game against the undefeated Nipissing University Lakers (6-0).
The Knights next home game will take place on Thursday, December 1 when they square off against the Fanshawe College Falcons (3-2). Game time is 8 p.m. at Niagara College's new Athletic Centre.
