The St. Clair College men's and women's volleyball teams travelled to London to take on the Fanshawe Falcons on Wednesday night and came home with a couple of tough losses.
In the men's match, the Saints played one of their best matches of the season but fell to the top ranked Falcons by a score of 3-0. Game scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-21. Travis Wigle had a strong game with 8 kills and 5 digs. Michael Vandersleen also was solid with 7 kills, 1 stuff block and 7 digs. With the loss the Saints are still looking for their first win of the young season as their record fell to 0-4. Fanshawe improved to 3-2 on the year and are ranked 4th in Ontario.
Both teams are next in action for this Friday night when they host the Conestoga Condors at the new Healthplex at the St. Clair Thames Campus in Chatham. The women play at 6 pm followed by the men at 8 pm. Admission is FREE for all fans.
