SUDBURY, Ont. – Dave McMann etched his name into the
Durham College men's volleyball record book on Saturday night as he
became the Lords career scoring leader.
The Elmvale, Ont. native recorded six points including five blocks
in the Lords 3-0 victory over Boreal to surpass 2004-05 CCAA
All-Canadian Adam Schiedel for top spot on the Durham College
scoring charts. The Lords senior is now the program's career leader
in points (610) and blocks (148).
McMann also jumped into fourth place in OCAA career blocking,
moving past Brad Douwes of Redeemer and Evan Minshall of Seneca.
McMann trails Andrew Henry of Sheridan for third place who had 158
career blocks.
In five games this season, McMann is averaging five blocks per
match.
Despite breaking the Lords scoring record, McMann was not Durham's
leading point getter in the match as Jeremy Hoekstra and Jordan
McFarlane had nine points apiece.
Durham is now 4-1 on the year and have won two straight games
heading into their match against Cambrian (0-5) on Sunday.
The Lords will return home on Thursday, November 24 for a match
against the Trent Excalibur.
