FANSHAWE 3, NIAGARA 0 (FINAL)
The Niagara College Knights women's and men's volleyball teams were swept at home by the Fanshawe College Falcons.
The women's team was shutout 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-21), while the men's team was defeated 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23).
Meanwhile, the men's team lost their second straight match as well, and are now 2-5 in seventh place in the OCAA West Region standings.
Millar Galbraith (Georgetown, Ont.) had another big offensive game for the Knights. He recorded 18 kills, one ace, and six blocks for 25 points. The 6-foot-5 middle reached double-digits in digs with 13.
The Knights missed crucial serves that would have kept the Falcons down.
"We had a few good points, but we followed them up with missed serves," head coach Nathan Groenveld said. "We're impatient and a little reckless right now."
Both teams will look to get back into the win column on Sunday afternoon when they host the St. Clair College Saints from Windsor. The women's game is at 1 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 3 p.m.
