After suffering a couple of tough losses on the weekend the St. Clair women's soccer team got into the win column on Tuesday night with a convincing 2-0 win over the Lambton Lions.
Natalie Fantinic got the Saints on the scoreboard early in the first half. St. Clair went up 2-0 near the end of the half on a goal by Lucie Pellarin. The Saints had several more great chances throughout the match but could not put in another goal. Carrie Long and Ashley Davidson shared the goalkeeping duties to pick up the shut out.
St. Clair is now 1-4 on the season with three matches remaining. The Saints will have to win all three to have a chance to make the playoffs.
The women are next in action when they travel to London to take on the Fanshawe Falcons on Wed, October 12.
