OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team was swept by the George Brown Huskies 3-0 at the CRWC on Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-15, 25-10 and 25-16.
Averil Luck guided George Brown with an impressive 12 points (five kills, four blocks and three aces) while a trio of Huskies (Alyson Clow, Samone Kennedy and Luck) recorded six digs apiece in the win.
Allison Doris of George Brown made her return to Durham College, after playing the last two seasons with the Lords.
Melissa Semeniuk (Ajax, Ont.) tallied a team-high five points for Durham in the loss while Jessica Lasby (Shelburne, Ont.) had four.
Jenn Sheehan (Whitby, Ont.) led the Lords with nine digs.
The Lords will return to action over the weekend as they head to Sudbury for games against Boreal (Saturday) and Cambrian (Sunday). Durham will host the Trent Excalibur on Thursday, November 24 at 6 p.m.
