FANSHAWE 3, ST. CLAIR 2 (FINAL)

The St. Clair College men's and women's volleyball teams hosted the Fanshawe Falcons on Wednesday, January 18 to open up their home schedule for the second semester.

In the women's match, the Saints played solid but lost 3-2 to the top ranked Falcons in a very exciting and see saw match. Game scores for Fanshawe were 25-27, 22-25, 29-27, 25-15, and 15-7.

St. Clair was led by Katie Zawyrucha with 14 kills, 2 stuff blocks, 3 service aces and 22 digs. Alee Brecka also had a big game with 15 kills, 2 service aces, 1 block and 15 digs.

The Saints record fell to 3-9 on the season while Fanshawe improved to 9-3. The Fanshawe women are ranked in 4th in Ontario.

Both Saints teams are in action on Friday when they travel to Kitchener to take on the Conestoga Condors.
