PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team lost a tight match to Fleming as they were defeated by a score of 3-1 in Peterborough.
Going down 2-0 after losing a 27-25 second set, Durham fought hard to get back in the match as the team picked up a big 25-11 third set victory. However, the team seemed to run out of gas in the late stages of the match as they were beat 25-19 in the final set.
Ashley Mulholland of Whitby paced the Lords offence scoring a team high 15 points. She has scored 10 or more points in five of her last six games.
Rachel Loch and Claire Bell were the leading scorers for Fleming with 16 and 13 points respectively.
Durham and Fleming split their season series with each team picking up a 3-1 victory during the regular season.
The Lords will be back on home court on Friday, January 27 as they host the Algonquin Thunder. Game time at the CRWC is 6 p.m.
