Mackenzie Mills Canadore Women's Volleyball Third-year player Mackenzie Mills (North Bay, Ont.) recorded nine kills, two blocks and two aces for a season-best 13 points in Canadore's 3-1 win over La Cité. A day earlier, she contributed five kills and three blocks for eight points in a straight sets sweep of Algonquin. The two wins in Ottawa improved Canadore's record to 12-4. Read More
Jorell Miller Seneca Men's Volleyball First-year setter Jorell Miller (Scarborough, Ont.) was in fine form in Seneca's 3-0 sweep of Loyalist. Miller earned 33 assists, with two of his teammates tallying 10 or more kills, and another coming within one of double digits. Miller helped Seneca end a two-game slide, putting the team back above the .500 mark at 8-7. Read More
Melissa Ellis Lambton Women's Basketball Second-year forward Melissa Ellis (Sarnia, Ont.) scored 14 points while adding 13 rebounds in Lambton's 64-53 upset over Sheridan. She scored another 21 points while grabbing 10 boards in a 62-54 loss to Humber. Ellis now has nine double-doubles this season, nearly averaging as many points per game (12.5) as rebounds (12.4). Akai Nettey George Brown Men's Basketball Fifth-year guard Akai Nettey (Etobicoke, Ont.) led his team in scoring in two key victories in Ottawa. Nettey scored 24 points in a 76-73 win at Algonquin, then followed this up with 19 points in a 96-79 victory over La Cité. Nettey is averaging 18.2 points per game for a George Brown squad in the thick of a playoff race. Read More
Stephanie Bignell Fanshawe Women's Volleyball With her first block in a 3-1 loss to Sheridan, Fanshawe fifth-year middle Stephanie Bignell (Drayton, Ont.) became the OCAA all-time blocks leader. Bignell finished the match with a game-high seven blocks and now holds the OCAA record with 224 career blocks. She added 12 kills for a match-high 19 points. Read More
Eric Heidbuurt Redeemer Men's Volleyball Fourth-year right side Eric Heidbuurt (Waterdown, Ont.) earned a team-high 16 kills, three aces and two blocks totalling 21 points in Redeemer's 3-1 upset over Humber. He followed this effort with 31 points on 25 kills and six blocks in a five-set win over Conestoga. Heidbuurt is now second in the OCAA averaging 5.0 points per set. Read More
Stef Hrymak Mohawk Women's Basketball Second-year guard Stef Hrymak (Hamilton, Ont.) has hit double digits in scoring in 13 of 14 games this season as Mohawk increased its winning streak to 13. She totaled 36 points in back-to-back road wins at St. Clair and Lambton, including a trio of three-pointers in each game. Hrymak is averaging 16.2 points per game. Read More
Andrew Dawkins St. Lawrence-Kingston Men's Basketball Fourth-year guard Andrew Dawkins (Brampton, Ont.) scored over 20 points in back-to-back road games as St. Lawrence increased its winning streak to eight games. Dawkins scored 21 points in a 73-72 win at Seneca, then contributed 23 in a 76-72 victory at George Brown. Dawkins shot over 53 per cent in both games. Read More

Durham Men's Basketball The first-place Durham Lords (14-2) increased their winning streak to seven games with victories over Centennial (10-5) and Georgian (11-5) this week. First-year guard Aaron Hayles (Pickering, Ont.) scored a season-high 18 points in a 90-72 against Centennial, then had another season-high 21 points in an 84-70 win at Georgian. Read More
Centennial Women's Basketball OCAA championship host Centennial has not dropped a regular season game in 2015. The Colts improved to 9-3 with a key 71-69 overtime win over Durham. Second-year post player Samantha Reid (Toronto) grabbed 26 rebounds in the win. Centennial faces a litmus test when it visits defending champion Algonquin on Feb. 7. Read More
St. Clair Men's Volleyball St. Clair came up with a big 3-1 (25-21, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23) win and season sweep over Sheridan to move into third place in the OCAA west standings. Although tied with Sheridan with nine wins, the Saints has three matches in hand. St. Clair was led by Jason Hernandez (Harrow, Ont.) and his 19 kills. Read More
Seneca Women's Volleyball Seneca outlasted Durham 3-2 (25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 17-25, 15-12) to move into a tie for second place at 10-4. Seneca also defeated Durham in five sets earlier in the season, gaining an all-important tiebreaker in a competitive east region. Lambton Men's Basketball The Lambton Lions improved to 7-4 with a pair of victories over St. Clair and Fanshawe. Lambton avenged an October loss at St. Clair with a 83-79 win at home, then swept the season series versus Fanshawe with a 74-66 win at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ont. St. Lawrence-Kingston Women's Basketball The St. Lawrence Vikings ended Algonquin's 67-game win streak against OCAA competition (regular and post-season) with a 77-52 victory at home. Vikings all-time leading scorer Lacey Knox (Kingston, Ont.) scored a game-high 30 points in the win. Both teams are now tied atop the east standings at 9-1. Read More
George Brown Men's Basketball George Brown began 2015 by ending a four-game losing skid with a 74-71 win over crosstown rival Centennial. Guards Dennis Johnson (Toronto) and Kasey Morris (Toronto) both contributed double-doubles in the victory, combining for 30 points and 22 rebounds. Canadore Women's Volleyball Canadore won a pair of road matches in straight sets to begin 2015, lifting the Panthers into a second place tie with Durham in the east region.
