Ty Nguyen had a strong showing at the Conestoga Invitational badminton tournament this past weekend, helping lead the Fanshawe Falcons to first place in the men's team standings. Ty teamed up with Thao Le to go 5-0 in men's doubles play. Ty also competed in men's singles and finished the competition with a 4-1 record, good for second place. A reigning OCAA silver medalist in men's doubles, Ty and the Falcons will next compete at the OCAA Badminton Championships being hosted by the Seneca Sting from Feb. 20-21.
