Taylor Kampen crossed the finish line in a time of 22:27 to win the 6 km women's race held at the Fanshawe Conservation Area on Oct. 4. Taylor was 11 seconds faster than Humber's Catherine Irwin who was the runner-up. It was a positive start to the abbreviated season for the Seneca student-athlete, the reigning OCAA silver medalist and All-Canadian. OCAA runners get an opportunity this Saturday to compete at Marydale Park in Mount Hope before returning to the site on Oct. 25 for the OCAA championships.
