TECUMSEH, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's baseball team clinched first place Saturday in the opener of their doubleheader with Humber College (Etobicoke, Ont.,) at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh, Ont., with a walk-off homerun.
Anthony Buonaiuto (Toronto) broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning with a blast over the right field fence that allowed the Saints to secure their second consecutive OCAA regular season championship. St. Clair then completed the season series sweep of Humber with a 6-1 victory later that evening.
On Sunday, the Saints hosted George Brown (Toronto) and swept that doubleheader with scores of 12-2 and 8-3. St. Clair finished the season with a 19-1 record and will travel to Oshawa, Ont., Oct. 17-18 as the top seed in the OCAA championship hosted by Durham College.
