For the first time, the OCAA season will begin prior to Labour Day. A single-division format will continue for 2026, as teams return to a triple round robin format consisting of one doubleheader and one single game against each club totalling 21 games each. The single games will be part of four-team pods taking place in a single location.
The first pitch of the 2026 season will take place Sept. 1 as the Conestoga Condors host the Durham Lords in a doubleheader. The following day, the Fanshawe Falcons visit the St. Clair Saints, while on Sept. 3, Durham returns home to host the defending OCAA champion Humber Hawks.
The Mohawk Mountaineers open their season Sept. 5 at home against St. Clair in a twin-bill. The Lambton Lions and Sheridan Bruins have long waits to open their campaigns, both starting Sept. 12 at Conestoga.
A total of 84 games are planned across the province over a span of 48 days. As inclement weather can more often than not interrupt the OCAA schedule, Oct. 19-20 has been designated as a period to make up potential rainouts.
The top six teams at the conclusion of the regular season - including host St. Clair - move on to the OCAA championship. The modified double knockout tournament will take place Oct. 22-24 at the SportsPark Softball Diamond in Windsor.
All OCAA schedules for the 2026-27 season, including dates, times and locations, are subject to change.
