HUMBER 2011-12 ATHLETIC AWARDS
Adrian Cord, Terell Bramwell, Keyla Moreno and Vicky Siemon named Humber athletes of the year.
Male Athletes of the Year
Adrian Cord – Men's Golf
Adrian's last two seasons at Humber have been nothing short of magical. Cord has won two OCAA provincial titles, two CCAA national titles, an RCGA college/university title and represented Canada at the World University Games in China. This season he personally earned a silver medal at the OCAA championships, just being edged out by one stroke by teammate Mark Hoffman. When the CCAA championships rolled around Cord decided it was his time to shine and beat Hoffman, teammate and friend, to win the individual gold medal. Cord and his teammates have also been nominated as the Sport Alliance of Ontario's top amateur team, with the winner to be announced in April.

Terell Bramwell – Men's Volleyball
Terrel may well be the the finest athlete to ever suit up for the Hawks. He is not only widely recognized around campus but around the entire country. His uncanny ability to jump out of the gym left fans and opponents in awe as he unmercifully slammed balls towards helpless defenders. This season he also won every award imaginable being named OCAA and CCAA men's volleyball athlete of the year, and for the second time in three years was named an all-Canadian. Bramwell also set single game and season scoring records in kills and points. Along with winning awards and setting scoring records he led the Hawks to a men's volleyball No. 1 ranking throughout the season, which culminated in Humber's first-ever CCAA national championship.

Vicky Siemon – Cross Country
In just two short years Vicky has become Humber's most decorated cross country runner ever. After a solid career at the University of Western Ontario, Vicky came to Humber and brought some of her refined skill to an upstart Hawks program. Siemon went off in her second season with the Hawks winning almost every race she entered. She won the Fanshawe Invitational by nearly a full minute for her first win of the season. When it was time for the OCAA championship she beat the competition handily once again by over 30 seconds, winning the OCAA individual and team gold medal. At the CCAA championship in B.C., Vicky narrowly missed the gold by only three seconds, but managed help her women's team claim the overall title. The CCAA silver marks Humber's best-ever national individual finish in cross country.

Keyla Moreno – Women's Outdoor & Indoor Soccer
When Keyla steps onto the pitch the opposing coach knows to have two defenders on her at all times, and sometimes that isn't even enough. Her sublime foot skills and rocket shot are often too much for defenders to keep up with. Keyla's leadership and experience this season were a huge reason why Humber repeated as OCAA champions, but it was what she did without the ball that was perhaps most impressive. Drawing two and three players to her at a time then chipping a cute little pass to an oncoming striker happened all too often. Keyla claimed a number of honours this season as she was named CCAA and OCAA women's soccer athlete of the year, and an all-Canadian for a second time. She also led the Hawks to the OCAA indoor title, as with the outdoor team, for the second consecutive year.
