GEORGIAN 79, DURHAM 66 (FINAL)
BARRIE, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team
suffered a tough loss on Wednesday night as they were defeated
79-66 by the Georgian Grizzlies.
Leading by ten points heading into the final quarter, Georgian
pulled away taking a 75-55 lead. Durham had a lat charge going on
an 11-4 run, but the Grizzlies eventually won by 13 points.
Ben Dance of Georgian was 8-for-12 shooting from the field as he
led all players in scoring with 20 points. Jevon Francis had a
double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Mark Brown had
15 points and six rebounds.
Byron Wabano (Moosonee, Ont.) had a team-high 16 points for Durham
to go along with eight rebounds. Rob Gagliardi (Whitby, Ont.) and
Tristan Francisco (Whitby, Ont.) had 13 points apiece.
Georgian had nine three-pointers in the game while Durham had
five.
The Lords (1-2) will look to rebound on Friday night as they head
to North York for a 8 p.m. tip-off against the Seneca Sting
(1-2).
