OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team outscored St. Lawrence 42-22 in the second half to earn a 67-57 victory at the CRWC on Friday night.
It was a big win for the Lords as they jump into a three-way tie for fourth place in the OCAA east region with Georgian and George Brown. All three teams have 10-8 records, two points behind St. Lawrence who sit in third place at 11-8.
Christoff Pierre (Brampton, Ont.) had a season high 35-point performance for Durham, including going 14-for-16 from the free throw line. Twenty-four of Pierre's points came in the second half comeback for Durham.
Kevin Honig (Sarnia, Ont.) led the Lords on the defensive end of the court with seven rebounds and four steals.
Durham will look to win back-to-back games on Saturday afternoon as they host the Cambrian Golden Shield. Tip off at the CRWC is at 3 p.m.
