OTTAWA – The Durham College men's basketball team struggled in the second half against La Cite on Saturday afternoon as they dropped a 78-59 decision to the Coyotes.
With the Lords trailing by a single point (35-34) at half-time, La Cite went on to outscore Durham 43-25 in the second half to pick up the double-digit victory.
Anthony Ottley was the leading scorer for Durham for the second straight game as he registered 28 points. The freshman also led the team in rebounds with eight.
This is the first time since 2009 that the Lords started out their season with two losses. La Cite improves to 2-0 on the year with wins over Durham and Cambrian.
Durham will look to turn things around on Tuesday night as they host the Loyalist Lancers (1-1) at the CRWC. Game time for the Lords home opener is 8 p.m.
