ST. CLAIR 73, SAULT 71

St. Clair (1-1) defeated Sault (2-2) by a score of 73-71.
 
St. Clair jumped out to an early eight-point lead on the strength of their 62.5 percent first half shooting from beyond the arc but Sault clawed back to within 37-36 at the half.

St. Clair pushed their advantage to 10 points in the third quarter but Sault fought back down the stretch with 34 points off 32 Saints turnovers in the game.

Sault led 71-70 but St. Clair was able to get to the free throw line three times in the last minute and gain pivotal offensive rebounds.

Hugh Taylor led Sault with 13 points while Alex Temesy (Amherstburg) made four triples and finished with a game-high 16 points and adding seven rebounds for the Saints.

The Saints host Lambton College on Wednesday, Nov. 7 with the women at 6 p.m. and men at 8 p.m.
