ST. CLAIR 70, FANSHAWE 60
WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team played one of their most complete games of the season topping Fanshawe 70-60 at the campus gym Wednesday night. This is the first regular season win for St. Clair over Fanshawe since January, 2008. St. Clair is now tied with Fanshawe for fourth place in the OCAA's West Region at 7-4.
Winter semester addition Tyler Storie (Windsor, Ont./WF Herman) had a coming out party scoring 12 of his game-high 21 points in the first half allowing the Saints to take a 43-33 lead into the break. Fanshawe cut the lead to just six points at 54-48 late in the third quarter but St. Clair got a Storie triple to restore order and carried the momentum through the fourth quarter. The Saints enjoyed a raucous home crowd that helped them score 27 points off 28 Fanshawe turnovers.
Storie added nine rebounds to his 21 points off the bench while Alex Temesy (Amherstburg, Ont./General Amherst), Xavier Jones (Tecumseh, Ont./L'Essor) and Matt Nuna (Windsor, Ont./Catholic Central) each chipped in with 11 points.
