WELLAND, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team lost their second OCAA west region game in a row after a 96-79 decision at Niagara College in Welland, Ont., on Sunday afternoon.
Down 54-36 at the halftime break the Saints never recovered even after outscoring Niagara 28-19 in the final quarter. Niagara held a 58-42 advantage in rebounding while St. Clair only shot 20 per cent from beyond the three-point arc.
Only two Saints reached double figures in scoring with Nick Campbell (Brampton, Ont.) leading the way with 14 points while Shavon Gayle (Windsor, Ont./Catholic Central) chipped in with 11 points.
Niagara's Delroy Grandison (Kingston, Jamaica) led all scorers with 20 points adding nine rebounds in the victory.
