WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's basketball team fell 85-64 to Humber College (Etobicoke) Saturday night at the SportsPlex which relegates them to a road playoff game next weekend.
Humber staked itself to an early lead taking a 19-14 advantage into the second quarter. But the Saints responded well outscoring the visitors 25-13 in the second frame and seized a 39-32 halftime lead.
Humber used an explosive 17-0 run stretching from the end of the third quarter and into the fourth and outscored St. Clair 53-25 in the second half shooting 56 per cent down the stretch. St. Clair gave up 38 points on 32 turnovers which proved to be its undoing.
William Lara-Caston (Windsor/JL Forster) led St. Clair with 16 points but Andrés Bravo (Panama City, Panama) recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Charles Baskin (Detroit, Mich.) was the only other Saint to reach double figures chipping in with 12 points on his grad night.
