Athletic Association (OCAA) rugby student-athletes of the week for
the period ending Sunday, Oct. 23.
MALE: Phil Boone, Humber
Phil Boone (Brampton, Ont.) proved to be an
unstoppable force on Oct. 22, scoring three tries while adding four
converts for Humber in a 43-22 win over Mohawk. The meeting between
these clubs was a rematch of last year's OCAA gold medal game.
Humber finished the Division I men's rugby regular season with a
4-1-0 record, clinching second place and earning a bye into the
semi-finals.
FEMALE: Juletta Cull, St. Lawrence-Kingston
Juletta Cull (Douglas, Ont.) scored three tries
while adding four converts in St. Lawrence-Kingston's 53-10 win
over Fleming-Lindsay on Oct. 22. St. Lawrence's only blemish on an
undefeated 4-0-1 regular season record was a 15-15 tie against
Fleming-Lindsay on Oct. 1. First place in the OCAA East region is
on the line on Oct. 30 when St. Lawrence visits Algonquin
(4-1-0).
