ST. LAWRENCE (K) 31, ALGONQUIN 27 (FINAL)
Eric Jadowski scored a try in the game's dying minutes to give the St. Lawrence College Vikings men's rugby team its first win of the year, 31-27, over the Algonquin College Thunder, on Thursday, Oct. 6 in Kingston.
It occurred just minutes after Algonquin scored a try to take a
27-26 lead.
The win improved St. Lawrence's record to 1-1 in Ontario Colleges
Athletics Association Division II play. Algonquin is now 2-1 on the
year.
Alex Shotton, Dorion Hartley and Cody Strickland also scored tries
for the Vikings. Travis Smiley had three penalty kicks and one
convert for St. Lawrence as well.
The Vikings are now 1-1 in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association
play, while Algonquin is now 2-1. The Vikings men's rugby team's
next game is Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. when they host
Georgian.
