In what was as display of high caliber volleyball, the Mohawk
men’s team simply elevated their game to a new level on the
back of OCAA Player of the Year, Jasmin Cull. The fourth year
standout was absolutely dominant, posting an amazing 28 kills, one
block and one ace in the 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-18) championship
match against the Algonquin Thunder.
An impressive tandem was formed this year as veteran setter, Peter
Sniuolis and rookie libero Sean Lowe gelled to create one of the
most reliable duos in Ontario volleyball. Sniuolis was again the
mastermind behind the Mohawk operation, rarely missed his mark as
he dished out precision sets that continuously keep his opposition
off balance. Lowe was anything but a rookie as he continuously hit
his mark, not only on serve receive, but on defense as well.
The Mohawk men will now be joined by the CCAA National Championship
hosts, Humber Hawks, as the Ontario representatives at the CCAA
National Championship from March 7-9.
