OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's volleyball team looked impressive in their 2012-13 home debut as they defeated the George Brown Huskies 3-0. Set scores on Friday night were 26-16, 25-13 and 25-14.
Leading the Lords offence was middle Craig Lush who registered 14 points with six kills, seven blocks and one ace. Outside hitter Paul Rapos added 11 kills while Luke Kilborn had six kills and two aces for eight points.
Durham Libero Dan Popovich played the first two sets and led Durham with six digs.
Leading the Huskies offence was Stephen Duong who had eight kills and two aces in three sets played. Duong also led the Huskies on the defensive end with seven digs.
The Lords are 1-0 on the year while George Brown slips to 1-1.
Durham's next action will be on the road as they take on the Trent Excalibur on Wednesday, November 7. Game time in Peterborough is 8 p.m.
