TORONTO – The Durham College men's volleyball team picked up their 11th conference win of the season as they defeated the George Brown Huskies 3-0 in Toronto.
George Brown entered action on Wednesday night earning five wins in their last six matches, but were unable to upset the Lords as they fell by sets scores of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-23.
Durham has won nine straight sets and are 11-1 during the regular season. They are tied for first place with the Seneca Sting (11-1). George Brown falls to 9-4 this season and are 4-2 on their home court.
The Lords will be on the road next week as they will close out their season series against the Loyalist Lancers (5-7). Durham beat Loyalist 3-0 in Oshawa to close out the 2012 portion of their season.
Durham's next home game (Jan. 24) will be a battle for first place in the OCAA east region as they host Seneca at 8 p.m. The Sting defeated Durham 3-1 in Toronto in November.
